A LITTLE ABOUT ME

My name is—wait, just look at your search bar.

I just realised that that is more words than just saying my name.

If the search-bar hint wasn’t enough, I’m David Kalu. I recently graduated from The Ambassadors Schools in Ota—consider this my free advertisement; I’ll send the marketing department an invoice later. I’m looking forward to the next chapter: university life, new ideas, and whatever plot twists come with them.

Quick question: is the double “that” correct? Sorry, English hasn’t really been my strong point.

Oh yeah, back to what I was saying: I’m what the average person might call “smart,” “a nerd,” or any ten-letter word there is for it. I don’t really like those labels. And no, no, no—I don’t want anyone calling me a dullard or an ignoramus, either.

Slight side track: you wouldn’t believe how many words there are for negative things to say about a person. I know from experience: I once read through the Merriam-Webster Dictionary for a Scrabble tournament.

A QUICK AGE CHECK

How old am I?

So, like, I was 16 years, 9 months, 5 days, 13 hours, 35 minutes, 5 seconds, 427 milliseconds, 683214 nanoseconds old when I wrote this.

Apparently, I just realised that I’m actually Gen Alpha, not Gen Z. NO!!! I refuse!!! But on a serious note, why did I have to be born in 2010? Why couldn’t I have come out 12 days prior? Nonetheless, I’m Gen Z, and no one is going to tell me otherwise.

I know you’re wondering why I wrote this. You see, late-night funk can affect the brain.

BACK TO THE POINT

People need room to grow.

Those considered dull may just not have the people, books, or conviction to nurture their skills. I’m not saying it isn’t good to be a genius—I’d relive my 16 years of life to be one. But the world needs to treat smarts as a resource, not an object.

For those who want to look up to me—I know, probably no one will until I become a multimillionaire, but everyone has to start somewhere—my CV is below.
